F5 Networks Data Laboratories

Koehler & Company was retained by F5 Networks, Inc. to provide design-development consulting and general contractor services for new data center laboratories within F5's existing corporate headquarters facility located at the Elliott West office campus on Seattle's northern waterfront.
Koehler & Company's work included:
- Developing a team of expertly qualified engineering design consultants and subcontractors, including McKinstry Co. (Mechanical Design-Build), Gerber Engineering (Electrical Engineering), VECA (Electrical Subcontractor), and Marvin Stein & Associates (Architect);
- Providing design-development recommendations;
- Timely and accurate budget estimating;
- Retrofitting the Shell & Core to provide a new two hour interior shaft;
- Ensuring continuous service of all other F5 services;
- Coordinating mechanical, electrical and cabling work including the hoisting of major heating, ventilating and air-conditioning equipment.
